I recently attended a business meeting where our hotel took over our meeting room to have a couple designers from the Casino Industry come and show us their fashion ideas. I wasn’t sure if they were going to show us what they have been making at the casino. At the end of the presentation, our designer had a lot of ideas for possible furniture pieces for the casino floor. There were some things they were proposing that I didn’t even think could fit in with the casino environment. It’s like a physical manifestation of how when one is playing on online casinos real money is at stake, so not much else matters. Their imagination is impressive! I’ve seen a lot of casino floors lately, and it seems like the designs are getting a lot more creative and creative every year. I loved seeing some of their ideas and looking at their creativity.
A few of my favourite designs from the presentation were from Casa Desnudos, a designer that designs for the main casino floors in Europe and South America. I know I would love a piece like that!
The show room had other designs from the Gran Suite Hotel in England and the Village House from Denmark. The designers from each hotel presented their designs and stories on how their design came to be.
Last night I attended another presentation on a cruise ship for a design magazine called “Project.” This presentation was more along the lines of what we just saw on the business presentation on the hotel floor. There were a lot of amazing designs from the cruise ships. I wish I could have spent some more time looking at those designs and taking in the information that was shared during the presentation.
Every time I’ve gone to the cruise ship floor I’ve seen people carrying on conversations with the designers about the designs and how they came to be, with some inspiration drawn from simply stating something in a different language, like jeux de casino, which simply translates to “casino games.”
In the design industry it seems like people have endless conversations about things. The designer explained that every cruise ship has about 600 employees. These are employees that will be working on the cruise ship during the upcoming months. The designers are in constant communication with these employees so that they know what they are working on to make the design even more special. If they were talking about the first floor design on the casino floor, the cruise ship designers would probably tell you how they are putting together their ideas for the casino floor.
There were a couple jackets that would be perfect for the casino floor.
A jacket from Galvin Green, a golf jacket company. The jacket has a ton of detail and I think it would look perfect for the casino floor or any other public place.
Another jacket, which is also from Galvin Green, is one with a different colour than the previous jacket. It has more of a polka dot look to it. I think it would look perfect for the casino floor.
